Though the long-play cd, which has been released in March 2007, is only the band's 3rd album after 'Gates' (1998) and 'Home-made...' (2003) in an impressive way the members of the band show what they mean when they talk of perfection. As usual DAYS OF FATE merge synthetic sounds with elements of rock and powerful beats with catching melodies. And again they manage the tightrope walk between Indie and Pop, between Electro and Rock, what the press already called a 'new definition of SynthPop' while speaking of the last album. But maybe DAYS OF FATE finally have pitchforked themselves out of this genre. Well, we dont know. Traffic in itself is style-merging, melancholic, emotional, powerful. Exactly how DAYS OF FATE imagine music should be. Also Absurd Minds left their marks on the album. Their singer Stefan Großmann did not only the whole booklet art work but also inspires in a duet with DAYS OF FATE singer Torsten K. on the song 'Rising Again'. The quality of the album already brought "TRAFFIC" into the German Alternative Charts where the album has been staying in the Top Ten for three weeks. There is told enough! Draw the courtain to reveal a new work of DAYS OF FATE! ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ Drei Jahre haben sich DAYS OF FATE Zeit genommen, um Ihr neuestes Werk 'Traffic' zu vervollkommnen. Der Longplayer, welcher im März 2007 in die Läden kam, ist zwar nach 'Gates' (1998) und 'Home-made...' (2003) das erst dritte Album der Band, zeigt aber in eindrucksvoller Art und Weise, was die Band unter Perfektion versteht. Wie man es von DAYS OF FATE gewöhnt ist, verschmelzen synthetische Klangstrukturen mit rockigen Elementen und kraftvolle Beats treffen auf einnehmende Melodien. Und es gelingt ihnen wieder einmal die Gratwanderung zwischen Indie und Pop, zwischen Electro und Rock, welche die Medien schon beim Vorgänger von einer 'Neudefinition des Synthie-Pop' schwärmen ließen. Vielleicht haben sich DAYS OF FATE nun aber auch endgültig aus diesem Genre hinauskatapultiert. Wir wissen es nicht. Traffic zumindest ist stilverbindend, melancholisch, ergreifend, kraftvoll. So wie Musik, ginge es nach DAYS OF FATE, vielleicht sein sollte. Auch Absurd Minds haben übrigens ihre Spuren auf dem Album hinterlassen. Deren Sänger Stefan Großmann steuerte nicht nur die komplette Gestaltung des Covers und Booklets bei sondern brilliert auch im Duett mit DAYS OF FATE Sänger Torsten K. beim Titel 'Rising Again'. Die überwältigende Kraft des Albums schlug sich auch schon in Charts-Notierungen nieder: Unter anderem blieb "TRAFFIC" drei Wochen lang in den Top Ten der Deutschen Alternativen Charts (DAC). Der Worte sind genug erzählt! Tauche ein in die Welt von DAYS OF FATE! |
