About Me

After being influenced by the Rave scene of 1988 and by the whole culture of Raving, this alone started me on my venture to become a DJ / Producer. what amazing times they were. Wow man, they were amazinggggggBiology, Sunrise, Energy, World Dance, Fantazia, Awol, Elevation, Paradise Club, Crazy Club and just to name a few Raves and Clubs that really got people on the level with every other raver. I look back at this era and still think we let the Hippy inside us explode outwards. A new generation of Hippy. Just wanting to dance and express ourselves without no trouble or interference from the old bill.
Being from Old School (not skool) and going to many illegal raves, it was a time when Pirate Radio ruled the airwaves and every Raver was glued to them waiting on the meeting place. Every weekend, unless we knew prior where the event was, me and my mates would plonk up and have the radio louder than we could hear ourselves speak so not to miss a thing, and then wait. Then a sudden rush as the magic words jumped through the Radio, ’Get to South Mimms Petrol Garage and someone is waiting with directions’. Wow, we couldn’t move fast enough and when we got there, well, the cars were there in mass numbers. Then another Rush as word goes round where the Rave is. We was as one as we drove in a convoy with in hundreds of cars and some on motorbikes towards the Rave.
Not knowing well the hell we were going, just following the cars, the tingle in the stomach was well going and the rushes were flying and the questions ran through the head, ’where are we going?’ ’were the old bill going to raid it?’ ’we heading to a field?’ (I always wished it was yes to that question. There is Nothing in the Rave scene than to have it outside in a field. As a bald woman once said, ’nothing compares to it’ and she was right.
Not matter how long we drove you knew it was going to be sooner rather than later when your ears pricked and you heard them. Like someone drumming in a jungle, the distant Bass is calling. It was like we were hypnotised. There was eerie hush in the car so we could all just make sure we were not imagining it, because I tell you, my imagination and vision were not quite correct.
Then the distant flashes of lights. No it was not my imagination (blimey let me finish the story), it was, yes, the Rave strobes glistening in the dark sky. At this point, we went from around 50mph to 90mph. It was no longer a convoy but a formula racing track to get there. Then loads of people in the brightly lit jackets guiding you through into a made up car park where the noise of the bass was running into your system. This was it, we have landed people!
It’s time for the Hippy to take control of me and many others. Of we went into the world of Rave as I understood it. These are the moments I will never ever forget or regret. To dance with 100 or 50000 at one venue with no trouble is something the Ravers and organsiers of these Raves should be very proud of
Now i shall continue to tell you about myself but if you wish for more stories please e mail me lol
I got my chance to venture out when I got a slot on Impact 88.2 FM. Playing at venues across London and the UK, I was a DJ on pirate for Impact FM 88.2Fm and then Eruption 101.3FM for many a year. Being on Pirate Radio was seriously good fun. And to meet so many people who listened to us on the radio was fantastic and a privilege (apart from this one woman who was a complete stalker).
I have been producing music for since early 2000 for Abstrakt Mindz and at present, I am working on a number of projects for the label I began in November 2006 Extreme Sounds.
Along with my partners C James, XL and E Sharp, Extreme Sounds has expanded rapidly and has signed a number of Artists to the label. You can here and will be able to hear all the releases from Extreme Sounds EXCLUSIVELY @ www.extremesounds.org
E.S.D (Extreme Sounds Digital) will be launched in 2008 and we are signing Labels and Artists to release their music from E.S.D NOW. If you are interested in signing up please e mail: info@extremesounds.org for a contract and more information
My ViewMusic to me, is the mood of yourself. The mood should reflect in your music. Let your feeling be expressed through your music. Do not ever force a genre you do not feel comfortable with. Relax and it will all come to you.
I must stay off this Herbal Tea and this little weird aroma stick that’s burning around me.
Come and join me at www.extremesounds.org and Register, then leave your messages in the forum. It’s all fun and releaxed in the forums. No idiots with big egos or bad language allowed. The forum is for fun and to get to know people and to basically annoy me and the lads
Hope to see you there. Be Happy and be Safe.
