Clayton's unmatched, soulful sound is complimented by his raspy yet pleasantly smooth voice and an incredibly enthusiastic approach to piano playing. Clayton has already proven himself to be an accomplished musician by building his own loyal fan base worldwide, numbering tens of thousands of devoted fans, all of whom were enamored by Clayton's heartfelt music by just a demo that he solely and skillfully crafted in the basement of his home. Clayton comes from a family of high values, morals, and a great appreciation for life. While other kids were learning about the world in textbooks, Clayton was experiencing the globe up close and personal. Clayton spent the majority of his childhood in Nairobi, Kenya where his parents were missionaries on a quest to help those less fortunate. "When you live in a world like that, your priorities have to be others first and then yourself" says Clayton. This artist's adventures have had a major influence on his point of view in not only the way he lives, but also in his approach to songwriting. Clayton credits his experiences in Africa to being where his soul comes from. Starting his musical career at age seven, Clayton's first teacher always pushed him to be inventive and original with his work, it is because of this foundation he has always shown a passionate initiative in exclusive songwriting. "As long as I'm pursuing music, I hope to always be putting a twist on formerly clich lyrics." Clayton goes on to say "I write purely from my heart and allow myself to be vulnerable." Clayton has performed in the most intimate of settings as well as in theatres packed with thousands. His stage presence highlights his raw emotion and electric intensity. Clayton has the unique ability to always have the audience longing for more of his unparalleled sound. Clayton was simply born to be a musician.
