| Hiding (Original Song)Monsters (Original Song)Monsters Tutorial Video I'm a half-Japanese songwriter/composer of a very, very obscure style of music called "Pop Opera" or "Gothic Ethereal", if you will . . . Some people call me the Gothic Enya. I'm very shy, and also I have a normal job that keeps me very busy. So please be patient for my reply. I will always answer you, but sometimes it takes me a long time to get to things. My first album, QUEENIE, was produced with barely any money out of my bedroom closet in 2002. Suprisingly it did extremely well (99 percent because of the internet) and I became known for my songs, especially one in particular called "Lost". But more or less people tell me they like my voice, and I've been fortunate to be asked to do many collaborations. .. QUEENIE CD 2002 UNTOUCHED is my live album, just a live recording from 2006. I consider album one point five!

Music:Member Since: 2/19/2005Band Website: queeniemusic.com Band Members: Queenie was originally a fantasy name plucked from a novel by Michael Korda. In the novel, Queenie is a girl born to a white man and an Indian woman of low caste. She runs away to London and becomes a film star, but she can never seem to outrun the shame of being half-caste and lowly born. As for me, I am half German and half Japanese. As far as I know, anyway. I was adopted away as a baby and I know almost nothing of the circumstances of my birth. Like Queenie, I have never been sure where I have belonged. A few years ago, I went through a very dark time in my life where a series of unfortunate events led to a dark depression. I am loathe to mention specifics--I guard my privacy religiously--but it involved remodeling a house in the country and a robbery where nearly everything I owned was stolen. Things got so bad that I seriously considered quitting my job, buying a plane ticket, and moving away to a foreign country where nobody knew me. They say the grass always looks greener on the other side and the place where I was felt cursed and barren. Out of circumstance, I spent many sad afternoons alone in an old, crummy house. Though I had never so much as finished a short story, not even for English class, I began writing a horror novel about a vampire named Lucia Alberti who survives the Black Death of 1348 Italy only to be abducted by an evil vampire. I wrote the novel that would become Forever Fifteen over the period of a year. As I never expected to write a novel, I had no problem recording it with my existing home recording equipment and turning into a free podcast on iTunes. My vampire audiobook, Forever Fifteen, was one of the first free audiobooks to reach the internet in 2006. It gained a readership larger than I had ever anticipated. To this day, I receive fan mails from people who passionately love the book on a weekly basis. The weirdest thing happened: I realized that I wanted to write more horror stories because they helped me work through my pain, fears, and troubles. So I keep writing whenever I can squeeze in the time, even though my life is a great deal better now. A Fictional Turn for the Dream of Flight Queenie has become more of an alter-ego than someone I associate with myself. She's a grand courtesan, a half-caste geisha outside of Japan like a fish out of water. I am developing a story (but you know how stories swell into novellas and even novels) about a girl named Quin who is trapped by circumstance in a haunted school. Quin spends most of her days wishing she lived in the past, specifically the Victorian Age, which she credulously imagines was a better era where she would have lived happily ever after. Against a backdrop where children are constantly disappearing, Quin discovers a portal to another dimension, the dimension of dreams. Queenie has become a side character in all this, mentoring Quin when help is desperately needed. The story of Quin's Dream of Flight will also be the music of the new Dream of Flight. Once I finish this project, that is if I ever finish!, I will make it into a free podcast like Forever Fifteen out of love for my fans. Thank you for your love & support of my creative works.
