| I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 My name is Treiops Treyfid. I am an artist living and working in Los Angeles. I'm here on MySpace to assemble a community of artists/friends. I have a few pics of my work here. The new work is a blend of my "Abstract Repressionist" style and some new experiments which center around popular culture and it's transient nature, made with recycled materials. Really getting into making things out plastic bags, cardboard, styroform, and spray paint stencils. I had a few art pieces in the recent Create:Fixate 6th Anniversary Show. Check out the video I made of it. Treiops works made for MJ Higgins Show Desire collage, spray paint, on cardboard, 32w" x 30h", 2007 Notes: Here's a piece I made for the recent Create:Fixate "Love. Beauty, Desire" show. Flight Reclaimed Mixed media, 56w" x 56h", 2006 Notes: This piece features a mix between two kinds of materials I have been working with lately, recycled materials (cardboard, plastic bags) & holograms & resin. It was a very complicated piece to construct. It has a hollow body inlayed with rope lights which shine through holes drilled inbetween the cardboard hexagons made from consumer product boxes. The "mane" is made from plastic bags pulled through the circular exterior. |
