| Autour d'un verre .. ..MY PROJECT : ADV « AUTOUR D’UN VERRE « ( OVER A DRINK ). The subject is simple the settings are located in different bars. « Autour d’un verre « ( Over a drink ). This theme is important for me. It allows me to recreate scenes of daily life in which all levels of society are mixed. These themes also allow me to explore the connections concerning the distance between the object, space and Man. My works bring up several concepts such as property, politics, composition, the repetition of motif, from the infinitesimal to the infinitely great. I have worked on this project for four years. I spent two years during which, every day, I visited bars just to observe. I went to the most disreputable bars in the cities, exploring souls, caricaturing recurrent objects, more often than not creating an enclosed, dark space. The results of all this are to be found in 800 savage, grotesque drawings, for the most part pencil drawings or in Indian ink. I have drawn ignorance or indifference, contempt or oblivion. I have drawn “ the forgotten people, “ those who pass us by, nevertheless, every day : you will always find them in any town, propping up the bar. But why aren’t there any cigarette butts in the ashtrays? My work has matured. My aim, from now on, is to display my works by using a breaking up of scale and a genuinely original approach, in order, finally, to bring my work to the attention of others. courants d'r supplement www.matthieu-exposito.com |

L'exposition aura lieu du 19 au 25 juin, au 19 rue des Blancs-Manteaux à Paris 4e, à la galerie Jamault qui nous prête gracieusement son espace. Le vernissage est prévu le 19 juin, entre 18h et 21h30. Il y aura aussi une tombola. Le fruit de cette vente ira dans sa totalité à Djenneba et à sa famille. L’une d’entre nous ira lui remettre en main propre au mois de juillet. Nous ne sommes pas une association, mais des artistes qui tentent d'organiser une exposition conviviale et généreuse au profit de Djenneba.
