Kelly, New Edition, Jodeci, Mary J Blige, just to name a few, he gives much credit to his older brother Lamar, for introducing him to the world of Hip-Hop, and being an example of how he can be able to rap as well as sing. "My brother Lamar gave me the confidence to do both(rap and sing)". Fareed also writes and produces as well.
