Long ago in London town a man called Ant sat deeply sighing he was wondering which side of the fence he was on prick up your ears... time went by and soon the one was five young hombres burning fire they were in no doubt which side of the fence they were on prick up your ears (mag-nificent five)... he who writes in blood doesn't want to be read he must be learned by heart he's got to be learned by heart they believed in sex and looking good with their own brand of music they weren't pandering so which side of the fence... are YOU on? A dandy welcome to all ant-fans, old, and "new." In the first incarnation of this page we were heartily moved and impressed with the amount of "friends" we gained in a very short time. ANTMUSIC was, and STILL IS a unique form of music, we welcome the friends who were lucky enough to be around in 1981, and we embrace the new young post-punksters who are discovering our sound. Onto the new... ALL the ANTS are still VERY active in the music industry, through this page you can keep up with their activities, and we are sure you will love the NEW music too. Let's catch up. Where are they now? Adam: THE INSPIRATOR, the CREATOR. Recently completed his Autobiography, which is now available on amazon.co.uk & amongst all good high street stores. Played his first live show for 11 years at the bloomsbury theatre in London, on September 24th 2007. Currently working on a possible book release of his artwork from down the years. Marco: Has been constantly involved in the music scene, relentlessly and passionately producing new sounds, and discovering new artists. Has worked closely with SONY/BMG on the re-working and re-mastering of all the ANT classic albums. Now signed and recording with his new outfit "The Wolfmen", has also been a great mentor to MANTRA II's "Cat Mantra." And has recorded some new guitar work for MANTRA II's album "Werewolves of London." UPDATE: THE WOLFMENS NEW SINGLE WAS RELEASED IN THE UK IN OCTOBER. WE WERE AT THE LAUNCH PARTY, IT ROCKED. AND MARCO SAYS HI TO ALL. Terry still retains all his drumming excellence, his aura, and his hair! MANTRA II's new album is released in the UK on August 21st, and will incredibly be Terry's first studio release for 25 years. Don't get us wrong, Terry has always carried on playing, but he preferred to stay out of the limelight for some time. He very much enjoyed sneaking into gigs and playing with his punk band "The Magnificent 7", which is also still rocking. (Now known as "Spirit of 76.") Kevin has recently joined the ranks of "The Imbeciles.", an impressive new millenium/electro sounding project which, funnily enough, is signed to Marco's own label "Only lovers left alive." He ALMOST also did a guest spot on MANTRA II's new album, but as THE IMBECILES came along, he cried off! THE IMBECILES have live dates coming up in the UK this summer, check their page for details. UPDATE - As of July 2006 Kevin has parted company with The Imbeciles, we'll update you on his latest project/s asap. UPDATE - January 2007 - Kevin & The Pill mob are now working on a new album - and Kevin performed at ANTFEST in July 2007. Merrick: A hugely successful producer, Merrick (aka Chris Hughes) went on to work with TEARS FOR FEARS, and has more recently been producing THE WOLFMEN. (More info to come.) Gary Tibbs: Now playing and recording with another 80's phenomenon "THE FIXX" (more info to come.)
