Mr. Alfa is the nickname of producer, DJ and composer Alfa Kay. Known as one half of Germany's POPSHOPPERS, Alfa produces rather different music when doing it all by himself. Quite melancholic sounds somewhere in between the stylistic landmarks of Jazz, Downtempo, Soul, Pop and Electronica. Together with great female singers from (nearly) all over the world Alfa started VENUS INTERNATIONAL. The first VI album will be released april 2008. Nearly all instruments are played by Alfa and the wonderful female vocals are by Duygu Cingar (Istanbul/Turkey), Christine Lunaire (Austin/USA), Janea (Cologne/Germany), Lalah (Hamburg/Germany), Bernadette Noir (Paris/France), Elina Jaiden (Hollywood/USA), Karo (Schweinfurt/Germany), Jacqueline Bieze (Haarlem/Netherlands), Crystin (Düsseldorf/Germany), Iris Aneas (Barcelona, Spain), Niki Carrera (Milan, Italy). Other projects Alfa Kay is involved are: THE POPSHOPPERS (- Popshoppers @ MySpace ), JANEA et ALFA (Frenchpop, first release on 'French Cuts III'), HIS GIRL FRIDAY (60s Pop, Beat), CINEPHONIC (Electronic music for Silent Movies in team with Marsen Jules). As a DJ you can see Alfa as a part of POPSHOPPERS DJ-TEAM (Funk, Soul, Latin, Disco, ... with Senor 45) or as a part of SEXY STUDENTENFUTTER DJ-TEAM (Super freestyle-laissez-.faire Rock'n'Elektro with Suzie Kerstgens [Klee]). or as a part of IN BED WITH DJ-TEAM with Miss Stereo.
