| LA MONTAÑA GRISReviewLa Montaña Gris, Celtic music and music of the fantasy, was born in August 18, 2001 in Medellín - Colombia. From the very beginning it has been characterized by the diffusion of folklore of Northern Europe commonly known as Celtic music. Pablo Villegas, his founder, considers Celtic music like one of the folklore that allowed the development of music in the West and America and considers that this folklore is a legacy that from the antiquity, the goblins, the fairies and all those characters who we know as representatives of the fantasy, let to feed the joy on the humans. Celtic Music causes, in its listeners, the sensation of the mythical thing and opens the doors of the imagination.Over their 6 years of work the group has performed a large amount of concerts and have been able to create a new musical proposal that is well received in theatres, universities, cultural centers, tourist centres, parks, wooden platforms, schools, bars, cafes, weddings and parties among others.Their First Album “CANTO PRIMIO”, has their best songs, which are sung in English, Spanish and Primia Language, a language that is currently being spoken at The Grey Mountain. Between October and December of 2004 they carried out their first South American tour, which included the following countries: Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Ecuador, performing a large amount of concerts framed on festivals and international shows that allowed “La Montaña Gris” to position themselves and obtain important recognition with Latin American Celtic music media. Between the months of September and December of 2006 toured once again Latin America, performing 30 concerts in Ecuador, Chile, Brazil and Bolivia to introduce their new album “EN EL REGAZO DE LA CARAMAÑOLA” The Group is currently working on the edition of their next DVD titled “TRAS LOS VESTIGIOS DEL FUEGO” a documental about their tours to the American continent. Nowadays the group has 5 musicians who interpret the Violin, Mandolin, Accordion, Guitar, Transverse Flute, Irish flute, Traditional percussion, Female voice and Male voices.----------------------------------------------------- ---------LA MONTAÑA GRISReseña grupoLa Montaña Gris, música celta y de la fantasía, nace el día 18 de agosto de 2001 en Medellín - Colombia. Desde sus inicios se ha caracterizado por la difusión del folclore del norte de Europa comúnmente conocido como música celta. Pablo Villegas, su fundador, considera la música celta como uno de los folclores que permitieron el desarrollo de la música en occidente y en América y considera que dicho folclore es un legado que desde la antigüedad, los duendes, las hadas y todos aquellos personajes que conocemos como representantes de la fantasía, dejaron para alimentar la alegría de los humanos. La música celta provoca, en sus oyentes, la sensación de lo mítico y abre las puertas de la imaginación. En el transcurso de seis de trabajo el grupo ha desarrollado una gran cantidad de conciertos que han logrado generar una nueva propuesta musical apetecida en teatros, universidades, centros culturales, centros turísticos, parques, tablados, colegios, bares, cafés, matrimonios y fiestas, entre otros. Su primer trabajo discográfico, CANTO PRIMIO, da a conocer sus mejores canciones, cantadas en Inglés, Español y Lengua Primia, idioma que actualmente se habla en La Montaña Gris. Entre octubre y diciembre de 2004 realizaron una primera gira por Suramérica que abarcó Chile, Argentina, Brasil y Ecuador, realizando gran cantidad de conciertos enmarcados en festivales y encuentros internacionales que le permitieron a La Montaña Gris tomar un posicionamiento y lograr un reconocimiento importante en el medio de la Música Celta en Latinoamérica. Entre los meses de Septiembre y diciembre de 2006 recorrieron nuevamente América del sur realizando 30 conciertos en Ecuador, Chile, Brasil y Bolivia. Presentando su nuevo trabajo discográfico EN EL REGAZO DE LA CARAMAÑOLA. Actualmente se encuentran trabajando en la edición de su próximo DVD titulado TRAS LOS VESTIGIOS DEL FUEGO con el cual documentarán su gira por el continente americano. Actualmente cuenta con 5 integrantes que interpretan: Violín, Mandolina, Acordeón, Guitarra, Flauta Traversa, Flauta Irlandesa, Percusión tradicional, Voz Femenina y voces y coros masculinos. | |
