| Visit our website www.ecosainstitute.orgThe mission of the Ecosa Institute is to restore health to the natural and human environment, through education in design; synthesizing ethical, ecological values with the vitality and dynamism of the design arts.The Ecosa Institute offers two semester long programs, one in the Fall, another in the Spring. Through field trips, faculty lectures, special guest speakers and community based projects the semester places design into a global context and examines ways in which the sustainable designer can make positive contributions to the human and natural environments. The semester will allow students to re-evaluate their own relationship to design and the natural environment.During the summer Ecosa offers two different four week workshops, one in Materials and Methods of Alternative Construction the other in Drylands Permaculture and Water Systems. In these intensive four week hands on workshops four-week workshop students not only meet with distinguished speakers and practitioners but get to experiment in either building with sustainable materials or learn how to install self sustaining, ecologically designed, agricultural systems.

I'd like to meet:It takes an entire village to raise a child, but our entire species to care for the planet. So,we are looking for you! The Ecosa Programs are open to anyone who wishes to learn about sustainability and ecological stewardship of the Earth. We encourage members of EVERY design discipline from architects, to interior designers, landscape architects, engineers, even graphic designers. A true sustainable human environment will require the work of people from all disciplines in our society, and we encourage people from all disciplines, areas of study and backgrounds to apply. |
