I'm CARLENE GRAHAM an 25year old singer/songwriter born & bred in London.Have been singing from the tender age 7 (that being along to the ol' cassette player in my bedroom!) although realised my passion and desire to take it professional within the last 2 years.I have been blessed so far in my career and have had the opportunity to work with the likes of: MADONNA (Live8 2005), DIONNE WARWICK (Avenue For The Stars ITV), PLACEBO ('Trigger Happy Hands'-single off their latest album), ANGIE BROWN (Brighton Pride 2005), INAYA DAY (Nightingales), SPIRITUALIZED (UK tour '06-'07), LEE RYAN (Hammersmith Palais), SIMON WEBB (Thomas Cook 'Stars'2005), JOCELYN BROWN, CAT STEVENS, MICK HUCKNALL, CHRISSIE HYNE, ALLISON MOYET & ANTHONY COSTA (all at the Royal Albert Hall-Dec 2004), CASHIER NUMBER NINE (BBC Electric Proms), BUGZ IN THE ATTIC (Southport Weekender Nov '06), MASSIVE ATTACK (Brixton Academy '07) GEORGE MICHEAL, ASWAD, EDDIE GRANT & STING (BV's).....to name a few! Not of course, forgetting the fantastic opportunities i've had working with The LONDON COMMUNITY GOSPEL CHOIR also!Some of the most exciting venues i've performed at to date include: The House Of Commons (accapella for 'The Black Women Mean Business Convention'), The Royal Albert Hall, Live 8 (2005), Portsmouth Stadium (Tobago), Jazz Cafe, Soul Cafe (NY), Granada Studios (was GLORIA GAYNOR ON 'STARS IN THEIR EYES'), X FACTOR (BV's for Ben - Nov 06) & my HIGHLIGHT of 2005: PETER & JORDAN ANDRE'S WEDDING (sang as she walked up the isle)!!Within the last few months i've had the chance do a few gigs with 'THE REEL PEOPLE' & 'SUNLIGHT SQUARE' which has been mindblowing (literally!)....those guys are HOT!! And i am the NEWEST VOCAL ADDITION to BUGZ IN THE ATTIC!! It's all about the broken beat!I've definitely found my thang in House music & am currently collaborating with a variety of producers, SUBLIMINAL, WIPE THE NEEDLE, FANATIX & STEPTOE SOUND.....WATCH THIS SPACE! |
