| My Brother and Sister- my angels. Anything that has to do with the arts- just can't seem to get away. Children's advocacy. Keeping my 'people' happy and making sure that they know at least one person they know loves them unconditionally. I'm a fan of great books and great music. I am kinda becoming a health 'nut.' Got that certification and now I'm a bit nutty with the fitness thing. Writing- God bless my very talented and extremely supportive circle of friends- How great is it that I am a genuine fan of my friends and their talents? KNowing and loving them is inspirational to say the least. | |
I'd like to meet:Mos Def (such a crush i have on the man-some things dont change- can anyone say Cosby Mysteries?), Common (i saw him in concert a year or two ago. I've been a fan from jump- my Chitown roots and all, but ever since his show, WOW i have a new deep love and respect for this man as an artist and performer). OPRAH (she makes me smile). I've been blessed to have some of the best and most talented (added perk) people in the world cross my path, and I have no reason to believe this trend will change. As far as myspace goes, guys with lots of pictures of scantily clad women bending over- I'm not looking to meet you. |

Music:Jazz & ol' school soul/r&b tops the list (I'm talkin real old from ottis, donny, gladys, Harold Melvin and the Blue notes). Other than that, I'm all over the place -thank heavens for XM Satellite radio. IN my cd player right now- John Mayer, Take6, Floetry, Jack Johnson, Van Hunt, Leela James, Lalah Hathaway, Common, Outkast, Justin Timberlake, Olu, Anthony David, Maroon 5 and Miles Davis. Law School is taking over my recreational reading time. I finished "Brothers & Sisters" a few months back and I not so recently finished "Life lessons" and "Lovely Bones."
