MALIK -------- Ende der achtziger Jahre begann der ehemalige Strassenpunk und Hausbesetzer (Berlin) sich intensiv mit elektronischer Musik auseinanderzusetzen. Er wollte aber mehr als bloss ein Musikkonsument sein und fing 1992 an zu mixen und stellte sich ab 1996 in Clubs hinter die Turntables. Malik wagt immer wieder den Spagat zwischen Underground und Mainstream. Neben seinen Club-Sets versorgt er die Szene auch mit Mix-CD’s: sein Playaz Club und die Mix-CD Street Inferno geniessen Kultstatus weit über die Landesgrenzen hinaus. Seit 2004 orientiert sich Malik im Electronica Bereich und veröffentlichte 2007 bisher zwei neue Mix-CD’s (wild style / burn for you), weitere werden demnächst folgen.
