Stephen Bartlett Productions is about one thing, whatever it takes to make your next release a success. Following in the footsteps of top US and Australian producers, Stephen has developed the White Horse Audio Production Suite.
Through combining WHA with any combination of High-End Studios, Stephen is able achieve the particular sounds suited best to your style, rather than always being limited to one studio with one room and one set of equipment.
As well as this, because bands aren't paying for the high cost studios for the entire project, it often means that they are able to afford more time on the project to get the right take and make sure the mix is sitting just right.
The White Horse Production Suite itself is scenically situated between two farms, only 45 mins from Brisbane. It is based around a Protools Set-up running through a Class A GTM 822 Mixer, Hand built by Geoff Tanner (of Neve fame) and is currently the only one in Australia. It boasts quality gear such as 99v JLM Pre's, Vintage Neumann, AKG & Sure Microphones, Amek (Rupert Neve Designed) Compressors, Apogee Convertors, Fender Guitars, Mesa & Tech 21 Amps, and original Wurlitzer Keys . All in all, in spite of it's small size, the WHA Production Suite, houses purely top of the range professional equipment, choosing quality over quantity. Although Stephen has worked in a wide range of musical genre's, from Folk to Hip Hop, he grew up studying Jazz guitar under Dave Loveland(98-03){Honors Grade 7 ANZCA-Contemporary guitar}, before playing bass for rock act Another Day Down (2002-2005). However, production and the everflowing creative process that it represents (as well as working with lots of crazed muso's in air-tight seemingly timeless windowless rooms.....)was always the recreation loved a little too much, and has subsequently became a so called career... lead to MYSPACE, and ultimately to you reading this...
