| Whiskey Dust is an blues based hard rock act based in San Jose, California. After his blues band, Penny Dreadful, broke up, founding member, singer-songwriter-guitarist, Dave Friday started Whiskey Dust. Influenced by the classic and bluesy rock sound of bands such as Tesla, Cinderella, and Mr. Big, Whiskey Dust has evolved into a strong band that brings back the power, excitement, and fire of classic hard rock.With Matt Padgett on drums, Jack Grossman on bass, and Sean McGuire on guitar, Whiskey Dust is a dynamic guitar band that still likes to play it loud. With a strong following in the Sacramento and San Jose areas, Whiskey Dust has opened for such bands as Tesla, Lynch Mob, L.A. Guns, and Pat Travers.
