There comes that time in your life when you have to take stock in what you are, who you are and why you are...This can be troubleing for some and even worse for someone who is transgendered. I've been in denial about how deeply I was gripped by this gender dysphoria. And after becoming sober in the fall of 2003,... I GOT THE COURAGE! So, in August of 2006 I found and contacted an excellent therapist who is helping me sort out my feelings...and it means basicly I'm a woman trapped in a man's body. That's not so bad, but a bell has sounded and it's time to do something...time to address the true identity hiding inside for so long. Following the Benjamin guidelines, therapy has brought me to a Doctor, who is prescribing the hormones I will most likely be taking the rest of my life. I am looking forward to the metamorphysis these medications are designed to produce and realize there may only be slight physical changes. Also welcome are the emotional reactions to these perscriptions, which are said to be dramatic and overpowering at times. I believe I'm ready as I will ever be, and just wish I could have started sooner. This has become an exciting chapter in what will be a storied life and I'm sure the happiness will be everything my life has seemed to lack. With warm wishes from supportive wonderful friends and loved ones, I am hopeful in a successful transition and a fruitful journey in the rest of my life..... |

| Shopping, shoes, cooking, inter-net, listening to music, plants and gardening...Did I mention shoes? I also like woodworking and building those goofy furniture pieces that come in a million-six parts...LOL | |
I'd like to meet:I'm open-minded enough to want to meet all people of all genders. As I am transgendered though I do want to especially meet those others who are like myself...in search of their true identity. Also those talented make-up artists,(you know who you are) I just love the work they do =) |
