Movies:Regal Studios is proud to be involved in the production of “Devotion“. Origional screenplay by Eric Enck. Devotion will be Smith’s fourth horror film. Enck is a top selling horror author with novels like “ Tell Me Your Name” and “The Work”. Devotion is his first screenplay.The premise of Devotion is as follows: Four friends with dark pasts, decide to commit suicide by Russian Roulette. They venture into a house rumored to be haunted by the ghost of an axe murderer and sit in a circle devoted to the idea of killing themselves. Beginning to pass the gun around proves a horrifying ordeal, because the gun is empty before anyone attempts suicide, however the four friends know in fact, that it was loaded only minutes beforehand. They all point to the leader of the group Bryan Helix, as if Bryan had done something gripping and wicked. Before they attack him with absolution wanting to know where the bullets went, the lights go out and Bryan disappears.Some believe the home was once a church, others believe it is the home of a satanic spirit led into life by the bonds of friendship.We’re mixing it up with this one, says Smith. The film is extremely frightening and gore filled but we are shooting it in black and white like the old haunted house films we grew up with.
