MAJAH aka Chris Major was born and raised up in two of Charlotte, North Carolina's most notorious housing projects,Earle Village and Piedmont Courts. Growing up around drugs and violence MAJAH escaped through his rap music by performing at different local shows and talent contest. In 1995 MAJAH was also introduced to something other than hood life when he became the only person out his hood to leave this country traveling to Cape Town, South Africa and Manaugua, Nicaragua. In 1998 with the birth of his first son and other added pressures MAJAH decided to drop out of West Charlotte H.S.,making the streets his number one focus. During these hard times which MAJAH calls his dark years, MAJAH continued to write lyrics and master his skills. But In 2000 after being shot and nearly killed MAJAH decided to get out the streets and make music number one creating his own independent label Down South Major League RecordsCHEVY LIKA SPACESHIP ..
