If you know me, you know that my life is always moving. I can't sit still! After 5 years in the entertainment industry producing concerts, festivals and mobile tours in the city and the east coast, i've decided to make a change...lol...yes, everyone asks why?! Did u hate it Laila? ha ha...no i loved it...live music is my heart, but i needed to do something else. If you know me, you know why...if you're curious...shit, just ask! Anyways...I've Just recently got accepted into Loyola's Master's of Education Program. I'll be studying within the Student/Mulitculural Affairs track, which will allow me to work w/ minority youth at the university level...still doing events and programming, but for a different cause...RETENTION! I look forward to it, if you can believe that! I strive to make my mark somewhere and i really feel that this is a great route for me! There are so many opportunities out there and i can't wait to dive in! I need CHANGE.... So many of us become attached to our ways and we forget about others. To share love, to experience love and create love. And i'm not talking about the romantic kind( don't get me wrong that's beautiful), i'm talking about the love that moves people, changes the times, encourages faith and delineates from what's expected! YES...i love REVOLUTION...it inspires and it motivates...it gets people off their lazy ass!! lol...don't get me started...anyways...I start school January 16th...yikes! In the meantime looking for a spot to call home in the city! ..........other than that I'm just Laila...crazy, book reading, God-Fearing, music loving, truth searching, trying to be come a vegetarian, attempted to be vegan, chocolate loving, family orientated, fun-loving, potty mouthed, shoe shopping, motivated, green-tea drinking, but also coffee loving, cell phone talking, revolutionary minded, photography loving, sweat pants wearing, backpack drivin, stevie wonder fan, who adores a little rock, ALOT of soul, with a dose of love, passion, and a pinch of cinnamon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I love this photograph! It makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand, it makes me angry and it gives me hope!!! I'd go on, but i'll save my breath for the people who are happy with what the world feeds them...ok, so maybe that's a little harsh.
