| Born in Leon, a little north-Spain's city, Ruben Alvarez starts his career when he wins Disco OH! Leon's amateur contest in year 2000.From that moment, he begins to show his mixing skills in several clubs around Leon, always into a funky, soul, Latin style. In year 2003 he was in demand for been, alongside Oscar Soria, the brand new resident of Palat, one of most relevant house clubs in his town, where for 2 years both of them highlighted the most soulful tendency of the local scene. With their personal touch Palat becomes a point of reference in Leon's nights. At the same time Ruben begins to get interested in the world of music production, being one of the Spanish electronic music contest winners organized by "Maci Rock" and collaborates in a radio program about the electronic scene. From trackers to "pro" sequencers he polishes his production talent into a gorgeous house sound until he can create his own studio. Lately joins "House of MAd" dj agency, ownership of Miguel Serra and together take part on the "2 BROTHERS OF SOUL" project" which gives them lots of satisfaction, remixing tracks to people like Mojo Project, Dj Emanuel, Christian Alvarez, with great feedback from numerous important djs and producers and soon he will release several own stuff. In 2005 a famous dj/producer put his eyes on his work and decided to release "FORESHORE" a house/funky/electronic fusion through his Choice Recordings label. Currently Ruben is working in new projects and remixes, his forthcoming own label and showing his sets around Spain and Portugal. |
