| ....there is a rather wierd bloke called Doug, a 44 year-old married father of 2. Mild-mannered and unassuming, he goes about his daily business - work, eat, sleep - yet secretly harbouring dreams of status and adulation. His short, stocky, be-spectacled, slightly balding appearance conceals the inner turmoil of frustrated artistry. He has never learned to play a musical instrument, has not the patience or attention-span required to write a novel, can only draw cartoons, and has searched in vain for a word that rhymes with 'pint'. His existence seems to consist of taxi-ing his wife & children back and forth to their various activities - a thankless task - while sacrificing his own preferred state of relaxed 'private space'.
