WE ARE NOT A BAND! WE ARE A (pre-fabricated) DANCE PERFORMANCE GROUP COMING TO A DIVEY CLUB NEAR YOU! After losing a bet with “the fat whiteys” during the hot, wet summer of 84 my friends and I started a band in the spirit of The Chives. Realizing we couldn’t get far with only playing the skin flute and the butt trumpet, we decided to become a dance performance group. We specialize in "the robot snooze", "the gnat slap", "the ape", "the spaz", "air tennis", "the ray gun" and "falling asleep". We decided to name ourselves “The Steak Drapes”, for obvious reasons. We practiced 4 times a week, even on weekends…UUUGGGHHHHH! But by the time black history month rolled up on us we were really good, so we asked if we could perform at the school dance. Mr. Fannybatters paid us each $22, and gave us a free box lunch. We were the most bodacious part of the whole night!! Ballzonya!!! |
