| DUI started in 1997, originally named The Fux. After changing the name to DUI in 2000, the band has rocked long and hard. Like many bands, lineups have changed from time to time, but the music has remained as hard and fast as ever. 300 Proof is the motto of the band. If the band is not doing it as hard and fast and as much as possible, then there's no point. We've got to drive it non-stop. We have to be more than just a measley 200 Proof.The band started originally as Killer Kyle on drums, Dionysus on bass, Doyle Mayhem on guitar and Jew-Bacca laying down the vocals. As time has gone by, some people have moved on, lost interest, gotten families, died, whatever the case was, DUI still remains. There is the golden rule always laid down, however, that once a DUI soul-brother, always a DUI soul-brother.DUI is currently reforming and will be heading into the recording studio in Winter 2007 followed by both a U.S. national tour and a European tour. | |
