The Meathooks started out as a two peice acoustic band with good "budz" James and Brian in early 2003 while living in Myrtle Beach, S.C. after college with some friends... They began playing the bars in Myrtle a few nights a week for rent money and free bars tabs.. Eventually they moved home and resumed gigging in NJ/NYC/MD/DE/PA and wherever else they could, either as a 4 piece full band or a 2 peice acoustic duo.. Different members have come and gone from the full line-up in the last four years. The original DUO remains and is armed with some new equipment and new original material. The Meathooks are currently in the sudio recording their CD with engineer/long time friend and co-producer Steve Babula.. The progress has been amazing and the tracks are sounding better than expected.. (Check out some of the new pics from the studio on the page.) The Meathooks are currently booking their spring/summer schedule and are expecting to have about 30 dates posted(including a few festival shows) to promote the new album, "No End In Sight.." The album will be 8 songs. Their live shows continue to draw more people and never fail to explore a wide varity of musical genres. (mostly rock, jam band, funk, experimental) Brian and James also play with some side projects and can be found playing somewhere live just about every weekend..
