The focus of OHOI! is UK urban music, i.e. Grime, Drum’n’Bass, Breakstep-/Dubstep, and UK Garage as well as Bashment, Hip-Hop, and Dancehall. OHOI! was established in 2002 and has promoted a huge list of UK artists in Denmark, including: DJ EZ, Youngman MC, Top Cat, MC Buzzhard, MC Juiceman, MC Crazy D, L Double, MC E-LL, Drumsound, DJ Charma, DJ Messiah, MC Foxy, DJ Stanza, MC Nika D, Vex’d, Daddy Earl, The Plastician, Zed Bias, MC AD, DJ Maximum, MC J2K, Robbo Ranx, MC Stirlin, Dynamix, Oris Jay aka Darqwan, Simon Bassline Smith, Nicky Blackmarket, MC Purple, Faction G, JME, Faction G, Potential Bad Boy, Mark One, Scandalous Unlimited, True Tiger crew, Quiet Storm, Roll Deep Crew, Maveric, MC Soulja, Bruza, Ronnie Herel, DJ Wonder, DJ Bailey, MC Crazy Titch, J Majik, Wiley, Ny, MC B-Live, DJ Hype, MJ Cole, MC Kofi B, DJ Cameo, J Da Flex, Simba, and Tinchy Stryder. Among the biggest events OHOI! have organized/promoted is the Danish Sound Clash Championship (the official reggae/dancehall championship in Denmark) and RAW (the biggest urban music festival in Denmark). RAW 2005 featured 6 arenas, 30 artists, 3500 guests and live worldwide broadcast by BBC 1Xtra. OHOI! won two awards for the RAW 2005 event as well receiving nominations for other events too. |
