Attention Phoenix Stand Up!!! The Kiwi rEVOLution Is Coming!!! TOUR UPDATE 2: Click On the banner and help us get on A Taste Of Chaos!!!! We are an electronicore band from Tucson, Arizona. Check out our music, it will intrigue you. In early April 2006 Lauren Harvey and David Wharam’s band, consisting of four total members, called it quits. However, these two determined gentlemen did not want to stop making music together. There were many things that created problems though. Lauren was a bassist/vocalist, and David was a guitarist/vocalist. This left them in an interesting predicament: get new musicians, or try to make it alone. Unsure of their future as a drum-less band, Lauren and David decided to venture out alone and create a whole new sound unlike anything ever heard before. This new sound was Stranded Between…In the current rock/screamo/post hardcore genre, bands are becoming carbon copies of each other. Lauren and David wanted to bring a new sound to the music scene, and break the mold of your average rock band. Without a drummer, they decided to create all their beats using beat sequencing software. Along with this they decided to give an even more electronic feel to their music by adding a synthesizer other effects to their music. This “no limits” attitude gave Stranded Between… their signature sound. “I’d like to believe that we created our own genre” says David Wharam. “It’s so hard to be different nowadays, I think that sometimes you just have to let things happen, and see what might come out of it.”Diversity is a very big part of Stranded Between…’s music. Just one listen to their debut EP “Let’s Start Over” and you can see this. From harder hitting rock tracks such as You Turned Your Back, I Turned The Other Cheek, to epic orchestral tracks like Missing You To Death, and experimental electronic tracks such as Unconditional and Castles Made Of Snow, Stranded Between… brings a broad range of song styles into their music. “David and I were both raised in houses in which every music style was played to us. I think this gave us a deep understanding of all types of songs. It’s only appropriate that we incorporate that into our own music” says Lauren Harvey. “If you stick to one specific style you can almost become consumed by it, and in the end you become a slave to that style. By mixing it up we make everyone, and ourselves, unsure of what we’re going to do next.”Along with their energetic music, Stranded Between... also brings forth a passionate, and high-energy live show that is unmatched. It is not uncommon to find David and Lauren hanging from rafters, jumping off of balconies, or breaking some piece of their own equipment. “I don’t feel like I gave a good performance unless I’m bruised, bloody and sore by the end of it” says Lauren Harvey. Stranded Between…’s sound is one that grabs the attention of anyone listening. Their constant musical struggles brought these two ambitious young men, songs that are refined and positively original. With so much positive feedback from fellow bands, industry insiders, and fans alike, Stranded Between… is definitely on the path to becoming the next breakout band.Stranded Between… is currently awaiting the release of their first full-length album, which has been titled “The Hourglass Syndrome” :-D Put this banner on your page!
