About Me |

Started as a studio project in 2003, Mike and Frank have continuously worked to perfect their art, taking their influences from hip hop to metal, funk to house, R&B to experimental. In 2005, they were introduced to Rachelle, a jazz singer from their home town, through a mutual friend. This combination of talent, from composition, arrangement and production, all done in-house, is proving that this trio really is pioneering this combination of pop and ambient/trip-hop/house, tagged by Motif as TRIP-POP. Pushing their own boundaries, Motif has been collaborating with some of Montreal's freshest projects, groups and bands. Lab Rat (Common Unity) features on one of the group's latest tracks, "Catastrophe" with his unique hip-hop signature, Richie Vincent (The Navajo Project) lends his percussion talents and Nate Munn (Ghetto Nuns, John School Dropouts) on the upcoming EP.
