About Me

GTO Biography: Gone to Oblivion is:
Chris Bullock-guitar/vocals
Kelsey Gomez-guitar
A.J. Fierro-drums
Nick Bullock-bass
Donielle Cook-lead vocals

Hailing from Escondido, CA, Gone To Oblivion is a five-piece alternative metal group. Originally formed by Chris (guitars) and A.J. (drums) in early 2004, the band would expand with vocalist Joan Li, bassist Reigh Harrison, and guitarist Andrew Allaband. With the original lineup, the band would go on to record "Forgotten", which was released in fall 2006 and spawned two singles, "Lullaby" and "Roses and Razorblades". During the writing process for the follow-up to "Forgotten", the band would lose Reigh, Joan and Andrew. The band has since been stable with new bassist Nick Bullock, lead vocalist Donielle Cook, and rhythm guitarist Kelsey Gomez.

Being one of the only bands in their area with a female vocalist, Gone To Oblivion has drawn a lot of comparisons to Lacuna Coil, with their heavy, down-tuned music and singing style, which ranges from soft and ethereal to harsh and haunting. Their lyrics have been compared to the likes of Flaw and Staind, with their honest, yet sometimes melancholy themes. The band has had the honor of playing at such venues as the famed Roxy Theatre, Cane's Bar and Grill, Dreamstreet, The Jumping Turtle, as well as performing at First Night Escondido two years in a row (2005 and 2006). Having shared the stage with bands such as Carnifex, Chapter 14, Soundescape, Mann and Get Back Loretta, the band continues to pave their path across stages with their energetic, yet passionate live performances.

Currently working on their second full-length album, "Without A Trace", the band looks to further their musical approach, and not only create an album that they themselves can relate to; but an album that people around the world can listen, and find hope in its message:

“Like the stars in a cloudless sky, our spirits fly as darkness dies, The dawn of a new life awakens…”
