| Mussgroov Productions is a collective of producers, djs, emcees and hip hop addicts originally based in Wilmington, NC. Bryan Musselwhite and myself, Noumenon, created this organization with hopes of reviving a dying and uneducated hip-hop seen in the Port City. There was allot of talent here, but no real direction for it. There were producers and artists that had been unseen or overlooked for years and it was our goal to encourage them to get their music out.
We pursued a relationship with specific artists to help provide an outlet for them to hone their talents and gain experience, exposure and most importantly focus. After a period of time, I met Liza Harding and soon there after she became my manager. After an introduction to Bryan, she became the third person to be brought into the company. After several years in Wilmington, there came an opportunity for a change. Mussgroov is now currently based in New York, North Carolina and Virginia. We are an independent company with no desires to be mainstream or commercial. We do what we love regardless if people like it or not. We are not trying to save hip-hop, we are only trying to educate those that don't understand it. Our sound is unique and incomparable to any other. We are by no means striving for "rap star" status. Our production style, if you were to classify it, ranges from old school hip hop, to soulful instrumentals, to gritty underground hip-hop. Mussgroov prides itself on each of its producers and artists having a style of his own, remarkable and tasteful. The crew is growing day to day and we hope to work with heads all over the US to heads over seas. Our company offers a wide range of services: production, recording and mastering, artist management, and a talent roster for events.
