| Pyro born in 1985 in Topeka, Kansas as Ike Walker might seem like an underdog in this fight for hip-hop recognition, but his smooth lyrics and his ability to connect with his audience have seemed to even the score. Although Pyro started out on a different side of the entertainment feild it didn't take him long to find his nitch. Pyro began as a basketball player and ended up finishing 2 years of college and earning a degree with the help of that particular sport. However the first time he stepped on the stage as a 7th grader at Robinson Junior High School he and everyone else around him knew that the he was special. He later began performing in local talent shows and things of that nature all the way through hghschool and college.But what really earned him his spot was his freestyling ability.
Later on as his talents and recognition grew. He decided to Release and Independent album titled "Inside Out". He was naturally embraced and with songs like "Smile" and "Inside Out", he has quickly grabbed the attention of listeners around the world, whether in the club on a weekend or right before church on sunday mourning, Pyro has brought something for everyone. He has been performing at venues throughout Kansas and has earned the respect of many accomplished artists in thier fields. And he just turned 21.
By definition he is underground, but his mainstream/laidback mentality/outlook, soulful yet catchy lyrics that seem to captivate his audience and draw from past and present situations of a kid growing up in LA, Chicago, or NYC. Little do they know that in Kansas a man stands with the same heart, ambition, and skill level as any of his peers. Cause like Ice Cube said and I quote "Every hood is the Same."
Pyro has worked with countless producers, artist, and djs, and I assure you as this artist grows and matures the list will only get larger.
He has long road ahead, but with your support it will be a ride worth remembering.
So salute this fresh face because he is not just the next big thing in Kansas.
but because he is the next big thing in the world.
