| Elkhaly was born in Paris, his music influences are a mix in between Pop, Rai and RnB due to his roots from Morocco. He is the youngest of the family (3 brothers, 3 sisters ). When he turned 4, one of his older brothers ( singer ) encourages him to sing with him. Right after school, 4 years after graduation, he began to work. He decides to become a professional singer ( his teacher Eric Tavelli was the teacher of Vanessa Paradis, Zazie, Assia, etc ). In 1999 he sings with the choir WE ARE ONE and do the back vocals with many artists in recording. Choir soul / RnB managed by Obam Zoe Obianga. Quickly, Elkhaly's been called and worked on many recordings, solo as well as working with the choir WE ARE ONE (Autant en emporte le vent, Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, Saya ). Late 2001, he writes the song "Souvenir de toi" for Patrick Matau for his 3rd album "Ainsi va la vie". In 2002, his meeting with Antoine ESSERTIER, composer and director of many artists, such as Placebo, Keziah Jones, Christina Marroco had been a great step forward in his career. Theyre working together on his first album. In 2004, he won an NRJ award PRISE DE SON with Vicky with the J.J Goldman's song La-bas , Rai and RnB song.Elkhaly, est ne a Paris, ses influences musicales sont un mlange de Pop, Ra et Rn'B d ses racines marocaines. Il est le plus jeune de la famille (3 frres, 3 soeurs). Vers l'age de 4 ans, un de ses grands freres, qui adorait pousser la chansonnette, l'encourage a chanter avec lui. Quatre ans aprs ses tudes, il a commenc travailler. Des qu'il peut s'assumer financierement, Elkhaly decide de prendre des cours de chant afin de devenir professionnel (cours de chant dispense par Eric Tavelli, professeur de chant de Vanessa Paradis, Zazie, Assia, etc, ) En 1999, il integre la chorale "We Are One" et participe a plusieurs enregistrements d'artistes. Chorale soul / R&B dirige par Obam Zo Obianga. Rapidement, Elkhaly est sollicite et participe a differents enregistrements de CD, en solo ainsi que dans le cadre de la chorale We Are One (Autant en emporte le vent, Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, Saya ) Fin 2001 , il ecrit le morceau "Souvenir de toi" pour Patrick Matau, paru sur son troisieme album, "Ainsi va la vie". En 2002, la rencontre avec Antoine Essertier, compositeur et arrangeur de nombreux artistes, tels que Placebo, Keziah Jones ou encore Christina Marroco, a ete un grand pas en avant pour sa carriere. Ils preparent ensemble, son 1er album. En 2004, il remporte avec Vicky le concours PRISE DE SON sur NRJ avec le titre La-bas de J.J Goldman, un single aux sonorites rai et R&B, largement diffuse en radio. | |
