| tonypalmerart@yahoo.co.ukI'm a figurative painter who has spent most of his adult life living and working abroad in Mallorca & Gran Canaria, Spain; Quebec, Canada; and Brittany & Midi-Pyrenees, S. France. I also travelled extensively around India and Sri Lanka in the late 70s and early 80s. I hold individual and small group Art classes in my studio in Folkestone, according to demand. To classify my works, I'd say my detailed paintings and drawings have a strong personal style and come somewhere between Symbolism and Surrealism. There is often a mystical element in them, an attempt to explore the mysterious in nature and the universe. Sensuality is frequently an element in my work, and mysterious, strong women; real and imagined, often appear on my canvasses. I accept all kinds of commissions, in pencil, pen & ink, acrylic and oil paint; traditional and fantasy portraits of adults, children and pets; painted interpretations of clients dreams, visions or fantasies; in fact anything a client can imagine and explain. I work at a variety of prices; the client tells me what they want to pay, and I tell them what they can have for that price. The inquisitive browser will find all my recorded works in chronological order, from most recent to earliest. The copyright of all the images shown is owned by the artist, they may not be reproduced for profit without written permission from the Artist. The copyright of any work whole or in part, can be licensed from the artist. I will consider all kinds of commissions, and welcome enquiries concerning tuition.
