Becky SysonQ. Birthday?A. 12th of July 1981 Q. When did you first take an interest in music? A. I've always loved music having grown up in a musical family. My dad plays guitar and sings, and my grandad plays piano. My brother Lance and I made our debut in a local folk club when I was 15 and Lance only 12 and we've been performing ever since. Q. What inspires you to write music? A. Everything! Mainly I write to express my feelings and emotions, so people and places are a huge source of inspiration for me. You can find inspiration in everything if you look hard enough. Q. How would you describe your music? A. Contemporary acoustic folk rock! Q. What are your musical ambitions? A. As with all artists I want to touch peoples hearts, inspire thought, and give a little joy to others. The thing I love most about music is that it's like a universal language, and has the power to move everyone. It shows our interconnectedness as humans. My songs are my spirit and even after I die they will live on. |
