| In a nutshell, i grew up in Burlington NC, graduated from UNCW with degrees in English and Creative Writing. Caught that travel bug, backpacked Europe and South Africa. Came back to Wilmington and decided I wasn't done yet, moved to Ireland to work in a pub in Dublin for a while. Headed back to Spain and Portugal....and then back to home Wilmington NC again. Got at job as a dj for a Triple A/Americana radio station, dj for radio Bonnaroo, and wrote a weekly music column for the Wilmington paper.Now I live in beautiful Charlottesville, VA with Phillip. I am a dj at a music station called 106.1 The Corner, and work as a news reporter during the day for Newsradio WINA and Progressive Talk WVAX. I am the Virginia producer for the Public New Service, and a stringer for Sirius Radio news. I volunteer at a shelter in my extra time. Love doing all of it. Every day is different, and I get to meet/interview/hopefully help so many incredible and interesting people.We still have a place at Wrightsville Beach--and I still love it there. It will always be home, wherever I end up. I still tuck away my travel fund. Only now its a coin jar that also functions as coffee money, parking meter change, gotta-have-that-new-album money, so on.... | |
