| ____________________________________________________________ ______________________ Prophet of Woe started when 3 guys met a late night in October -04. But the road to this point is a tale of woe, (therefore their name). It all started when the guitarist Ronny after some unfortunately events stood alone in his rehearsal premises, without any band members. But through the landlord of the premises Ronny had met a good drummer, Micke who started to play with him. In a few days Nicke called and asked if they needed a bass player, since his other band (Boogieman) had split. ____________________________________________________________ ______________________ Then a late night in October, the trio met in the rehearsal premises and wrote their first song, that later would be called Evil Man. Now they had their first meeting with Murphys Law. Things started to get messy. A couple of woeful months the band struggled with operations, diseases, money trouble, instruments that would not work and so on. The only thing that they now were in need of was a singer that had a voice enough to bring the music forward. They recorded a 2 songs demo and started too searched for the singer that they needed. But without any fortune the band thought that the bad luck never would end. ____________________________________________________________ ______________________ But then in June -05 they met Andreas that had the strong voice and was suitable in the band. Finally they had a working band, a quartet, Prophet of Woe. ____________________________________________________________ ______________________ Shortly after that they got their first gig at the mc-club Mother's Freaks as the opening act. Nervous and for the first time as band they entered the stage. They gig went great and they got good criticism from the audience. Then after a week they had their second gig at "Musikens Hus" with a bunch of other bands. When they got on stage as the third band they totally rocked and took over the show. After the gig audience and bands said that Prophet of Woe were the best band that night. ____________________________________________________________ ______________________ After a month they got in the studio to record a 4 songs demo. The first day they recorded drums, the second bass and guitar. After putting vocals on 2 songs the next two days the computer burned up. Now murphy's law had returned and the demo is still not completed. With new gigs upcoming nothing could go wrong so it came like a shock when the singer Andreas pronounce his leaving from Prophet of Woe. ____________________________________________________________ ______________________ May - 06 Prophet of Woe finds their new singer Patrik. ____________________________________________________________ ______________________ July - 06 Prophet of Woe has just recorded 8 sångs. 4 of them is here on myspace. ____________________________________________________________ ______________________ | |
