Coachella, Langerado, Burn to Shine DVD, and remix vinyl! -- 1/23/08

Who’s ready for some heat? We’ll be sweating our buns off when we appear at Coachella for the second time. We couldn’t be more pleased to share the stage with some other fantastic artists. The festival runs April 25-27. We’ll also be heading out to Florida for the Langerado festival at the beginning of March.

Minus the Bear has been included in the well-loved Burn To Shine DVD series , out February 19, 2008. Shot in Spring 2007 in an abandoned house in Seattle, WA, Minus the Bear performed an electrifying version of the single “Knights” off of Planet of Ice. The DVD includes performances by such artists as Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Cave Singers and many more. Check the website above for a clip of us rockin da house.

We’ll also be releasing the vinyl of our remix record, Interpretaciones Del Oso, on February 5, 2008 through Vinyl Collective. You can pre-order it here ! Limited to 1,000 copies, the disc will be released on various colors - 150 Mystery colored vinyl, 250 on Root Beer Float colored vinyl (cokebottle blue/half opaque brown w/ cream splatter) and 500 on 180 gram black vinyl.

The new video for our next single “Throwin’ Shapes” is looking pretty sweet. The video was directed by Michael Gaston and Brooke Montgomery and will be released early spring 2008. Watch out for it soon!

Australia, Japan, Hawaii and More -- 1/18/08

We’re gearing up and getting ready for our first tour of 2008! This will be our first time heading down under and we couldn’t be more excited about exploring a new continent. Then it’s off to Japan for a few shows before we put our feet on the beautiful Hawaiian beaches with Mai Tai’s in hand. Mmmm.

Watch out for a new video in the next month or so. All I have to say is that this shit is funny... More tours are in the works, but we just can’t let you know about them yet. Hold yr breath and details will be emerging soon!

European Tour Begins Tuesday! Australia and Japan announced -- 11/17/07

Watch out Europeans, come Tuesday we will be drinking your booze and rocking your countryside! We’re all super excited to cross the pond and hang out with your cultured selves.

Tune in to MTV all week to see our handsome mugs plastered across a bunch of sweet promos. Interviews, performance footage, all kinds of stuff...

From our MTV Buzzworthy page : "For their Artist Of The Week run, we met up with Minus The Bear in Seattle and gave them an old-school Super 8 camera. The resulting footage, which you’ll see all week during their Artist Of The Week TV spots, was shot at their favorite haunts, including Capitol Hill pub Clever Dunnes and the Seattle Laser Dome. We think the diverse locations (one down-and-dirty, the other awesomely electrifying) perfectly represent the band’s comfortably dissimilar style."
