Back in 2002, three of them convinced of their invincibility and determined to make their presence known, planted the seeds of song and from the seedling a spirit formed into Jane Helen.Jane Helen is Dordi’s enchanted voice and rhythmic bass, Christine pounding drums and Sandra punkin’ out her guitar; that is until one fateful night at a concert the trio were attending when they decided that they were going to snatch the drummer. A few dirty tricks later, the girls found themselves with a new drummer, Mona. Christine took over the vocal duties with her rock & roll attitude.Two short months after that fateful night, Jane Helen performed at the Honey Trap festival in Oslo. The fantastic four continued to compose music non-stop and appeared often at smaller and bigger events, to the audience’s great joy and delight. Jane Helen soon built a reputation as a kick ass live band (as well as someone in need of therapy…), but something just didn’t feel right about the band. The Four felt like something was missing….The search for the missing link began and Jane Helen invited different musicians to audition for the band. A number of guitar players were ditched. A fiddler joined in and survived long enough to be part of the band for one whole concert. Keys were considered and finally Solveig showed up with her Les Paul and the fifth element of Jane Helen was a reality.Confidently, Jane Helen played louder and prouder. The following autumn, Jane Helen went to the National Finals of the Global Battle Of the Bands.Winter 2005 – Jane Helen was introduced to the acclaimed German manager, Rüdiger Schmitz. Schmitz liked what he heard and started working to get the girls signed in Germany as soon as possible. Schmitz’s company is also arranging Jane Helen’s German tour to introduce these Norwegian block rockers to the German market.So attention, everyone!
