About Me |
|
| Bullett and Gunn are Matthew Alford and Brett Morton, a comedy double act from the South West, England. Their stated aim is to "enact a novelty song ideological blitzkreig, using Brett's musical talents and Matt's laborious analysis". It's hilarious.
In 2005, they were described by Chortle as having "style and verve" with "professionalism to match" even though they were quite shit then. In 2006, they put on their first show at the Edinburgh Festival, "Bullett & Gunn's Massive Pop Explosion", and toured in the French Alps. In Summer 2007 they appeared as their alter egos, The Scary Sisters, at the Glastonbury Festival and put on a new show for the Camden Fringe. THE SCARY SISTERS Scary Sisters. Live and Undead Although Matt taught Brett to read when they were eight, the duo really started working together in 2002 when they moved to Birmingham and presented the breakfast show on a local radio station, Vale Fm. Matt then reached the final of BBC Talent's Urban Sketch Show Initiative and the following year Matt and Brett were finalists in Leicester Comedy Festival's Radio Writing Competition and then the 2004 Chortle Student Awards. Individually, Matt works as an independent researcher on cinema and performs as a stand-up. Brett performs professionally as a solo singer songwriter and TV presenter. They are currently appearing together on a show they devised called "You Can't Say That" on Red TV (Sky 186), following a successful series Brett produced called "Live at the Adam and Eve" for the same company. Bullett & Gunn would also like to come up with a really funny joke about how they write about themselves in the third person, but can't think of a good one right now, can we Matt? Matt: No. |
