| “Doodles Productions would like to introduce you to singer-songwriter Rick Dougall. Rick has been writing songs and performing for 21 years. Since making his first tentative steps as frontman for Medway band Power In Motion in the 1980s, supporting the likes of The Dentists and The Claim, he has gone on to write 100+ songs and has released nearly 80 on albums and EPs. Most of his tracks have been recorded at the highly revered Abbey Sound Studio in Rugeley, Staffs, with the aid of the peerless whizkid that is Lee Beddow. In the late 90s and early Noughties Rick regularly played the so-called Free & Easy circuit, playing solo acoustic slots in and around Wolverhampton and, in 2005, he launched and managed the Alex In Wonderland project, an album of original material performed by pupils and staff of the school where he worked. In 2007 Rick’s efforts were rewarded when he reached the semi-final of the UK Songwriting Contest with Cabin Fever, a song inspired by the seven mindnumbing weeks he spent at home with his leg in plaster in 2005!
