Miss Gay Harrisonburg Entertainer of the year 2006, Miss Gay Harrisonburg VA 2002-2003, Miss Harrisonburg Newcomer 2001-2003, and Honorary Miss Statuesque.I have been performing as a female impersonator now for 16 years. To anyone thinking about becoming an impersonator I have to tell you that it is not cheap and if you want to succeed, you need to take it seriously. I do it for FUN. If there was no fun in it, there wouldn't be another good reason why I would do it. I enjoy seeing the faces of the people I entertain as I take them on a trip from the stage to wherever my act see's to go.This persona has helped me evolve into a better person over the years. I've seen many people come and go in my life. Some I will hopefully see again someday and those who I know I will never see again.Some may look down upon me for being a "drag queen", but I am happy with what I do. I NEVER look down upon someone who does something that they enjoy as a hobby. I do want to make one thing clear... I DO NOT HAVE ANY DESIRE TO BE A WOMAN. It's just too damn much work and I don't think I could handle walking in heels full time. It normally takes me about 2-3 hours to get ready for a show, do you think I'm gonna get up every morning 3 hours early to get ready to go to work... HELL NO! That's 3 extra hours of beauty sleep I NEED.In my guy life which is 98.624% of the time, I'm your average fun loving SINGLE guy who likes a variety of things. I have many GREAT friends and care for them all dearly. I am a full time store manager for a national company and work too much. I own my own home on 6 acres out in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the city where all you have to do to see the stars at night is look up. I have 4 dalmations that eat too damn much but I love them all just the same. I drive a 4x4 (yes a 4x4), also have a cute little black sports car, a boat and a camper. I enjoy camping, fishing, working out, DIY construction projects, and hangin' with my boys on the weekends. Kinda shatters that stereotype the "drag queens" have eh?? Just go to show that you should never judge someone until you get to know em'.I am also the Vice President of the Shenandoah Valley Gay Lesbian Association (SVGLA). It is a GLBT social organization here in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I am active in including the membership of this organization with the operations and direction of the group so that they receive the maximum benefit of the organization.I am also the owner of the following female impersonation pageants:Miss Gay Harrisonburg (10 years strong), Mr. Gay Harrisonburg, Miss Gay Harrisonburg at Large, Miss Harrisonburg Newcomer, & Miss Statuesque.I use these pageants and my representatives to help promote good will and understanding to all people , not just the gay lesbian community. I feel that if anyone is to understand each other, we ALL must take the initiative to present all aspects of our life in a positive manner to gain understanding and acceptance. |
