NubianGraphics.com ..My Mom and Daddy met at a Bobby Blue Bland show at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, California! I was raised attending the Stern Grove events in Golden Gate Park; as well, jammin’ with the hippies on Hippie Hill~ Peace and love were always at the forefront, while the world was at war, we were at peace with the idea that this music would have to save the world. My first performance was at the tender age of three, singing: “This Little Light of Mine”. I remember swinging from the red velvet curtains while the Pastor explained that the curiosity of a child was a natural. I joined my first band at age thirteen! Glide memorial’s Reverend Cecil Williams’ son Al Williams and I started our first band …Soundtrack. Everyone from Will Smith, Sylvester’s Weather Girls to Frankie Beverly and Maze played at that church!! Oprah Winfrey and Maya Angelou have been to the very same church serving food to the hungry! My last performance there was as a solo artist where my cousin Shawn Carter was also performing! We are making music to this very day! He is the music producer of the current project…Rough Raw and ESTABLISHED! Darryl Zuber and James Richard ll are also contributing factors on the production side musically. From the halls of Solar records where I saw Babyface’s humble beginnings to the Motown’s Frank Cooper auditions in offices: as well as eventually signing on with Cassandra Mills at Giant Records, I still hadn’t established my own sound. That sound has been Established folks!! Good deeds have always been the objective….and It is with great hope that the music I have produced will fit nicely into the main stream; as well, keep my finger on the pulse of spirituality. Ellen Degeneres Said: “The bar has been raised.” She was referring to Van Hunt! When Van Hunt referred to me…I better quote him… “I like What Ev (a zionista song) I think it’s very attractive in its brand of sauciness.” He spoke of foretelling the onslaught of attitude and charm that is in this music! That has been one of the highlights of doing this wondrous thing called the music business. Being afforded the opportunity to be appreciated by someone you admire and respect as an artist or producer.
