I made this MySpace Music Player at MyFlashFetish .com. DJ Sean Doyle, now based out of Sydney, foundations of music started much the same as many others as a youngster going out. He was fortunate enough to have exposure to some of the house greats. His orientation of music, which was primarily based around funk and soul due to his bass playing. The riding basslines and grooves accompanied by uplifting vocals caught his ear and had him hooked. With this he took to the decks and tried to create his own style! Now along with his unique skills of bass playing kick started his dj’ing, which gave him a platform to be noticed on. Now based out of Sydney and part of the Soul Heaven crew he is throwing his sounds out to Australia and Asia regularly and throughout Europe in the summer. Since being in Australia Sean has toured with the likes of Knee Deep, Copyright, Audiowhores, Groove Assassin the list goes on. Not to mention playing with the likes of Brian Tappert, Simon Dunmore, DJ Spen, Karizma, Grant Nelson, Danny Rampling whilst in the UK!! Since being in Australia Sean has taken to some of the most renowned decks across the country such as Family, Seven , Tank etc. He is regularly sought after in Asia, playing Bangkok, Koh Samui and a recent trip to Vietnam, Singapore and Hong Kong has given him a firm grounding in Asia. You can now catch Sean as part of the Soul Heaven National Tours throughout Australia, what this space for the upcoming dates. BASS PLAYER Sean's bass playing started an early age. In the era when Acid Jazz was at its peak. With acts like Jamiroquai, Incognito, Mother Earth around to catch his ear. Sean initially was self taught, then went on to take theory lessons learning from a jazz guitarist on scales, theory etc. His early background had him in rock bands but with this he felt unable to really flare. So he went about starting up a funk band to find his niche. Once Seans clubbing days started and the market grew for live instruments in a club Sean approached a local house hot spot. The idea was introduced to Martin Metcalfe Promoter of The Kindergarten Klub, Portsmouth, host to some of the biggest US House and Garage acts like Brian Tappert (Soulfuic), Simon Dunmore (defected), and Spen etc etc. So with a good few questions in his head about how the live bass would work went ahead and gave him the opportunity. Since that day he has never looked back. Sean was an integral part of the Kindergarten Club and was regularly requested by resident djs and visiting djs such as Hed Kandi, Paul Farris, Teddy Douglas etc etc. From that day the exposure grew to other areas and the interest grew in this new and unique ability to add something to house taking him to some of the most respected House venues in the world such as Cafe Mambo, Ibiza. Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Family, Brisbane, Met Bar, Bangkok etc and playing alongside such artist as Hed Kandis Mark Doyle, Swing Citys Grant Nelson and Rude Boy Rupert. Soulfurics Brian Tappert, Defecteds Simon Dunmore, Chris Warne (Housexy/Pacha) Soul Heaven's Neil Pierce check out the flyers to see about who else hes worked with. The talent has since been identified by the most influential producers in the scene. Since Seans session days have started he has worked with Copyright, Audiowhores, Knee Deep, Groove Assassin, Redsoul and many more. TOUR MANAGEMENT Since being in Australia Sean has acted a focal point for Soulful House acts wanting to break into Australia. Sean started off by touring friends(Copyright/Knee Deep/Audiowhores/Chris Samba)Sean has the makor advantage in having local and hands on experience of all the clubs so therefore is well positioned to ensure the acts are appearing at the right places. Sean is now responsible for Soul Heaven tours throughout Australia, with the first tour happening in April which was a massive success. He is now set to continue on that success and introduce a further four tours in 2007. He still continues to engage with other acts outside of Soul Heaven as a means of getting good music into Australia |
