Music:the piano series: BLACK & TANmixed medium, wood ply, canvas,acrylic, color chip, mexican newspaper clippings my musical tastes are restricted to only chicago piano blues texas blues & western swing, 1947-58 jazz, 1958-last week jazz, torch songs, coolsville, all piano music, bluegrass, hep-cat, hymns and church music, chansons d'amour, dwight yoakum, brazilian sambas do cariocas any and all versions of "route 66", certain old jingles, old children's songs, "mustang sally", willie mabon's "i don't know" ry cooder maple leaf rag, civil war songs, jimmy witherspoon and i've heard some rock n roll i could tap my foot to. and that's it... except for ragas, greek music and mexican conjunto ... but nothing else ... unless ... you count lounge lizard music from the 60's edgar myers, bella fleck, newfoundland bar jigs, bill evans trio mariachi but only cuando está cargado con sentimiento de la pasión de amor and of course betty roché covering the waterfront. ------------------------------------------------------------ ---- and visit this myspace page ---- give it up for the little lady: You Make Me Blue Nina Faulkner |

It was so hard to focus! 1913 - another typical evening at work Every day the same old thing. Bongos, Tribal Dancing... Ritual Mambo Parties, Space Visitors, Fellini Film Crews, the occasional Cattle Stampede...you just can't imagine! But I stuck at it. And no matter who was around, I taught myself how to get in touch with my inner spirit person where the pure thoughts reside. I said to myself, my easel is my temple. And to all those beautiful, sweet young myspace women who've written in to me requesting marriage...(or who've sent in those pictures, webcam group invites, ups packages) I have to say: "I am so sorry, but my muse wouldn't allow it."
