Traditional American values are on their death bed. The "melting pot" (proud of becoming American first and your ethnicity comes second) has been replaced with the politically correct cult of "multi-culturalism" which is separating the races by teaching ethnic pride and hatred for America. Our country is no longer unified by any common cause or belief. Our new immigrants are being taught in Mexico and the US that they should not assimilate into American culture, that they don't need to have any allegiance or respect for our American institutions especially if they don't conform to their culture and language. I live in a Mexican town but it’s in Southern California. 99% of homes do not fly the US flag for the weekends of Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Veterans Day. The practice of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance is gone in most California public schools. Students are being taught in our public schools and reinforced by our liberal mainstream news media, and entertainment industry that our founding fathers were evil for even establishing the United States of America and that Whites are responsible for every ill in society..................................................... ......... Like a tsunami wave, my hometown has been overwhelmed by immigrants from Mexico. Any racial "diversity" will soon be gone (starting with California). Current demographics reported by the city are not even close to being accurate. One public school has to be built every day in California to keep up with the influx of illegal aliens. There are only one or two White students left in the average public school classroom here and it is a hostile environment where they are not welcome or accepted. Complaints of intimidation and racism against Whites fall on deaf ears. Apparently it’s not racism if Whites are at the receiving end and they deserve it by virtue of the color of their skin. I grew up in this town and I can assure you that my American school mates, of Mexican descent, were not treated this way! Crime waves through our neighborhoods committed by Mexican mafia members go unreported in the local papers. It makes no difference how educated you are, or how accepting you are of other races and cultures. I am not racist and was certainly not raised to be one. You probably won’t understand, even if you sympathize with me, unless you live in parts of the Southwest US where cities have totally been overwhelmed by Mexico. Businesses that you would expect to be in your downtown area but have been replaced by something else or have gone out of business. They simply don't want us here and have already succeeded in chasing most of us out. They would like you to think that after they come into this country illegally that somehow their civil and human rights are being violated so they need special protection and guarantees and affirmative action that insures them jobs so they will have a future here irregardless of American citizens who are already living here. They would have you think that they are the only ones who come here with nothing and struggle to make it in America. They come here illegally only because our federal government lets them. But if you reward illegality, you get more of it and that is in fact what is happening. And if you think they are just taking jobs Americans won't do, you would be wrong! Jobs that Americans usually do, like working at car manufacturers are being taken by Mexicans. Manufacturing plants have already gone up along the border to take advantage of the cheaper labor but these companies want you and me to pay for these foreigners’ healthcare, housing, and retirement! Our construction trade unions are now dominated by Mexicans. What guarantees do the rest of us have? You see, they are "hard working", "good people" as opposed to Americans. In Los Angeles County illegal aliens can apply for welfare, make babies and send their kids to public school. In San Francisco, CA, our judges have ruled that it is "unfair" to fire an employee with an "inaccurate" Social Security number. Yes it was an honest mistake! No, it wasn't fraud! How could you say such a thing! Hmmmmm, sounds to me like a double income to raise a family, a place to call home, free education, and maybe a new car or two with some fancy rims and low profile tires! I don't know about your town but this is what I see! If you tell people you are going to give people things, they are going to take it and that's exactly what the California State Legislature is promoting to the detriment and destruction of those of us who have a valid SSN and have money taken out of our paychecks to support these people now. By the time you get to use any of it you may be dead and what you put into it will be worthless because of the declining dollar...................................................... .. The pro-illegal immigration movement has been using false claims of racism against Mexicans for far too long. Those who oppose the current immigration bill are from a variety of races to include Americans of Mexican decent. Frankly, it's disgusting and hypocritical when you find out that many of the State's appointed leaders and professors at our Universities have been recorded making genuine racist comments and yet there are no investigations or coverage by the media. A Congressman in Southern California, has stated that this is a civil war and the goal is to dominate the State at every government level with Mexican Americans. It’s no secret anymore that our Universities have buckled into letting anti-American professors with a La Reconquista (take down America) agenda teach these anarchist ideas to students taking Hispanic/Latino Studies. They are not interested in diversity. They want to dominate the area because they believe it is their birthright. Their agenda is RACIST and amounts to TREASON. However, most universities promote socialist views in their Liberal Arts Department so there is little opposition to those who question the sovereignty of the United States of America there. The US/Mexican border has remained virtually open and unprotected and without the proper law enforcement for several reasons: Big business taking advantage of cheap labor and simply MORE CONSUMERS of basic goods and necessities (you know, things like BEER!) is the biggest reason. They have already bought off most of our politicians; so politicians can appeal to illegal immigrants for their VOTES; the NEWS MEDIA and ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY would never do anything to alienate their largest source of viewers which translates into income via advertizing; because members of MECHA, THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF LA RAZA, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF), the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project, and the Latino Institute have already been voted in as leading members of the community. (Google MALDEF article "Birth of a Nation") These organizations have been getting MILLIONS of dollars each year from the FORD FOUNDATION (a philanthropist offshoot of the Ford Motor Company set up by Henry Ford)to essentially take over the Southwest US. MALDEF has been using their lawyers to threaten big companies with lawsuits (with accusations of racism). The companies end up caving in to their demands and making large donations so that MALDEF's constituents will not sue because there are not enough Hispanic employees and so they will not boycott their products. Anheuser-Busch recently donated over $100K to MALDEF. The actual amount is unknown. The list of companies that make donations and or support THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF LA RAZA and MALDEF is UNBELIEVEABLE! These politicians don't represent non-Hispanics who live in the American Southwest because they believe it belongs to Mexico and they simply don't agree that immigrants who come here from Mexico should be considered illegal. They represent an already overwhelming majority of voters in California. A former State Senator admits to, and is on the record as saying something I sadly agree with to one of his white colleagues, "We are fighting so hard for affirmative action programs because YOU'RE GOING TO NEED IT!" Well it's too bad affirmative action was never designed to include White Americans because we already do need it in Southern California. He has also said, "Nowhere in the US Constitution does it say that you have to be an American citizen to live here." He wants his constituents to have all the rights of an American citizen but with no allegiance to America..................................................... ...... California's now small, poor, and middle class White minorities are being taught in our public schools to feel guilty like they did something wrong to the overwhelming masses invading their neighborhoods and to step aside and let them go ahead of them in line for a future (and the new immigrants are not only learning it but are demanding it!) Federal, state, county and city governments have stacked the odds against hiring Whites by adding or taking away points on tests based on the color of your skin. They would rather be understaffed in law enforcement than hire White males. America is a great example of a country with the LEAST amount of racism and prejudice and yet we let our students wallow in ignorance and don't tell them that countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East is where the most graphic examples of racism can be found! America has only been around for a little over 200 years and yet countries like India and China have had thousands of years of severe racism the likes of which pale in comparison to what America has had! And yet we allow our Universities to employ those who teach that Mexicans had the Southwest US stolen from them and that the Southwest US belongs to Mexico (they call it Aztlan), that their rights are being violated and that no Mexican is an illegal alien. The wealthy white liberal politicians, like Ted Kennedy, who live in their glass houses behind gated communities, like Martha's Vineyard and Gramercy Park never get to experience the pressures caused by open border policy and overcrowding in their neighborhoods. They are being courted by big business lobbyists who help to line their pockets but in the disguise of standing up for the poor masses. They are simply replacing the last of middle class jobs with cheap foreign labor and they don't care where they find it. These politicians have learned that they can get what they want by "crying wolf" with accusations of racism and a lack of human rights. Any sense of justice, normalcy, rational immigration policy, and American sovereignty that we once knew is being replaced by a new order where there are no more middle class jobs left or the lifestyle that comes with it. They are in effect representing you and me and telling the world, "Hey come to California! They have free education and healthcare for you! They have plenty of water, we'll give you someone else's social security benefits, there's plenty of low cost housing going up for you in nice neighborhoods that we will make you eligible for, we will give you hiring preferences and affirmative action programs and you don't even need to be an American citizen! Oh, and bring your whole family over because then you will qualify for special aid that we have set up for you!" Why is it so imperative that new illegal immigrants should be able to afford housing, like it is a right of passage, when we have plenty of Americans (and yes, even white Americans) who don't own homes and there is no "program" for them. The new immigration bill and over 20 years of disregard for federal immigration and naturalization laws are supported by White, rich, priviledged liberals and conservatives that don't know what it's like to live in middle class America! What the multi-millionaires Kennedy, McCain, Boxer, Feinstein, Lott, Edwards, Clinton, and others don't say in public is, "AS LONG AS IT'S NOT IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD!" If we could only change the location of the Mexican/US Border and put it next to the New England states! Even the CANADIAN DREAM is for SALE! You have to prove to CANADA that you can benefit their country in some way! We are sacrificing our water, our environment, our healthcare, our capacity to grow crops and our standard of living. The Democrats (and yes more and more Republicans now!) have sold their souls and appealed and sucked up to every radical fringe group that the average American would equate to anarchism. Without reasonable limits, the life you once knew will cease to exist. You will see a greater division between the rich and the poor like never before! How are we going to help the 3rd World masses if we cripple ourselves at home? How are we going to continue to be the bread basket of the World if we have no more land for agriculture? We have already destroyed millions of acres of some of the best agricultural land in the world and put it into tract housing. And by the way, even when 75% of California's economy was based on agriculture (in the 70's) we only needed 1 million migrants to do those jobs in the field "that no one else would do." ............................................................ .....There is no agricultural work in my town. What our politicians and the mainstream media are proposing is: "We are offering socialism for the whole world!" "Just get over our border and vote for us and we will give the benefits that middle class America has been taxed for their entire working careers to YOU instead!" They are already giving it to them courtesy of our citizens who pay taxes (this means the upper 60% of wage earning Americans which starts at the MIDDLE CLASS and in terms of numbers it means mostly the MIDDLE CLASS!). The lower 40% of wage earners (who are almost 100% democrats) pay no income tax. California's largest source of revenue comes from the State Income Tax. This is what pays for our public services. As we exponentially increase California's poor masses, and chase out our middle and upper classes, public services will continue to deteriorate and not get better. Those who attempt to blame any one administration only have political gain in mind! It will take at least 20 to 30 years to change to another primary fuel source. The United States is doing the dirty work for everyone else including those countries that denounce the US presence in Iraq who will benefit from not having the oil prices to completely go through the roof and for having a stabilizing effect in the Middle East! A republican president has to make many consessions and compromises in an attempt to get anything done. It's like swimming upstream without a paddle. I regularly listen to radio Clear Channel's KFI AM 640 and low on your FM radio dial -NPR's "Morning Edition" and "All Things Considered" and PRI and BBC World programs regulary to stay informed (if you want a quick education just start listening at those stations) but I don't limit myself to them. There is a difference between just reporting the news of the day and someone's opinion or "slant" like saying that the US is losing the war or that Iraqis want the US military to come home. The media knows that the majority ("the masses") of Americans are either too busy, too lazy, or just don't care to question a headline or the thesis behind the headline. If you listen to a program long enough over time, you can tell many times because of the selection of stories that are reported and the opinions of people who are interviewed that develop into a trend that points to the political stance and views that the people who run the station and or program have adopted. You have to question every point of view and news story and ask yourself why they picked that story and stories like it and why they might defend certain arguments and come to certain conclusions. For example, NPR is known for having a liberal slant and generally tow the Democratic Party line. If you disagree with this or LOVE to listen to NPR but hate most AM talk radio (which is largely conservative) than you are a liberal Democrat. Now a lot of people enjoy various NPR programs and the FM college radio stations you find NPR on but conservatives and Libertarians are aware of the liberal slant of NPR, PRI and the BBC. If you already know this please forgive me but some people simply don't have a clue what they're listening to. They don't have an inquisitive bone in their body and just soak up what they hear like a sponge................................................I was in Iraq for 18 months (9 months in the slums of Central Baghdad and I volunteered for another 9 months in Tikrit) and I will tell you that I did not talk to one Iraqi that did not want me and my team to stay there and continue to help them!......................................................S o can you figure out then why you are being lied to? Do you have any ideas of your own as to why the great concensus of the News Media networks (local & cable) might want to lie to you? Can you even imagine that this might actually be the case?
