DEBUT EP "sorry, you’re not on the list" OUT FROM MARCH 2008! Team Pete from Vienna make splendidly groovy guitar pop with a dash of psychedelia and noise, infused with advisedly applied electronic elements. Watch out or your booty starts shaking! This should actually be enough information on a four track EP. Only – if someone grinds out such fine popsongs managing to put you in good humour and filled with wallowing melancholy – then you want to know more about it. There is enough to tell: about the extraordinary hype about mastermind Pete’s former Indie-Band pH value a decade ago. About the sensational major label deal in Germany. But this is history. What followed was experiments with various musicians such as drummer ddkern and electronic music producer Gerhard Potuznik . An intense search for his musical style and identity. Pete succeeded. He returns in calm euphoria, with a team of like-minded musicians and friends, triumphally coming back to the pop song. Here someone is in the driver’s seat who knows what he wants. Fleet-footed songs, pleasing on the surface. Underneath they reveal a great attention to detail, knowledge about the tricky art of the good pop song and the power of reduction. Not a note too many, no sound in the wrong place, nothing is just an end in itself, everything serves the song. The lyrics: simple lines opening doors to experiences everyone can empathize with. Broken friendships, unfulfilled yearning. Deeply touching while maintaining the right sense of irony. The EP’s cover artwork is designed by Lulu of containerPLUS fame. This is their first and video, made at home by Pete and animation artist Niki Jantsch .
