Overcoming unimaginable adversity in the streets, he was born with music already flowing through his blood, as Nathan Bartlett is the son of legendary band Tower Of Power..s singer / songwriter and drummer David Bartlett. With an undeniable charisma and character not only in his music but about himself as a person, Na$ty Nate has one of the highest potentials of any current up and coming talent to truly take off in this industry. It..s not a situation of ..If.. it..s a situation of ..When...Already with three album projects currently under his belt, the 25 year old Nate continues to grow as an artist, someone who knows how to craft songs with substance and meaning behind them, not just write a dope verse. He can still get gangsta with the best of them, but he also understands how deep his gift goes and he..s not afraid to delve into that aspect of it, or reach for a softer side and try to touch the female and radio audiences. And with his Portuguese, Spanish and Italian background, he is able to seamlessly weave his bilingual rhymes between English and Spanish.Displaying a true talent for his writing skills, by not writing down any of his lyrics on paper, Nate only writes his verses mentally in his mind and memorizes them as he thinks them up bar by bar. This trait he has honed has been made popular on a larger scale by Hip-Hop kingpin Jay-Z, but was taught to him by San Francisco..s own Mr. Kee.Coming up in the independent mecca that is the Bay Area, he has also flexed his entrepreneurial muscle starting two of his own record labels, Blaze Entertainment and Rich City Record$, along with releasing ..Welcome To Nastyland.. Blaze Entertainment / Black-N-Brown Entertainment), which spawned the radio hits ..Sonic Boom.., and ..No Mo.. featuring San Quinn, and Cognito & The Knuckleheadz Co-Starring: Na$ty Nate ..Knucklehead Theatre.. (2006 .. Thizz Entertainment).Ever the workaholic, Na$ty Nate has appeared on well over 60+ album and mixtape projects. He has worked with multi-platinum artists and producers including Tower Of Power, The Game, Fabolous, Allen Anthony, Mike Mosley, Happy P, K-Lou, Federation and many others. He has also toured with some of the best of the best including Jayz-Z, Nelly, Tyrese, Baby Bash, Tech N9ne, Three 6 Mafia, Lil Wyte and will soon be opening for an Old School Tour featuring Afrika Bambaataa, Rakim, Rob Base, Chubb Rock and others.Nate is also a proud member of the late great Bay Area legend Mac Dre..s Thizz Nation, having appeared on several Thizz Entertainment related releases, and is preparing one of his own.
