Actor / Singer / Presenter / Writer is there anything Nick Hardcastle cant do? (Sure there isjust dont tell him that!) Nick began performing on stage around the age of six, and appeared in his first television commercial at eight. There was never any choice about what Nick would do for a career he HAS to entertain! Musically, Nick has recorded albums for Warner Music and ABC Music and has performed at countless venues around Australia such as the Sydney Entertainment Centre and performances at concert events such as The Australia Day Concert, City of Sydney lighting of the Christmas Tree, Carols By Daylight in Federation Square in Melbourne, Sydney Royal Easter Show, The Variety International Convention and many more. he has also performed his original material in London at Boujis and Kabaret. Nick's Debut solo album is an exciting package of band driven power pop that will resonate with people of all ages. Shades of Robbie Williams and George Michael and a nostalgic throwback to the sounds of The Beach Boys, The Monkees and The Beatles - Pure pop lovers will defintely dig it! One of Australia's hottest young faces, Nicks acting credits include lead-roles in many theatre productions, including Australian premieres of Something Cloudy Something Clear, Cliffhanger, Girls Night Out, An Adult Evening Of Shel Silverstein and the world premiere of Priscilla Queen of The Desert the Musical in the role of Adam played by Guy Pearce in the hit film on which it is based. His television line-up includes All Saints, Changi, Pizza, Flat Chat, Tanya and Floyd and of course, Nicks long-running guest role playing Tim OConnell in Sevens Home and Away, the first real love of Summer Bays all time fave girl-next-door Sally (Kate Ritchie). As a Presenter, Nick has hosted Planet PolyGram for PolyGram Filmed Entertainment, Watch Your Own Wednesday and The Big Help News for Nickleodeon. Most recently, Nick has presented Creature Features Series 1-5, Kids In The Garden, Nick Gets The Knack, Rollercoaster Videochat and The Young Performer Awards for ABC TV. Nick has also become the un-official face of ABC Kids, Australias most respected and largest-reaching childrens entertainment brand. Nicks vocals can be heard on the new theme song for Rollercoaster on ABCTV Great Adventure, a song he co-wrote that features as a bonus track on his debut, self titled album released April 10. Nick is an active supporter of childrens charities including UNICEF, a National Ambassador for Variety and a Youth Ambassador for Life Education Australia. In fact his song, State of Mind has been selected as the Theme song for Life Education and he performs it regularly on his many school visits around the country.
