About Me |
|
| Hey-Firstly, I'm a trained classical guitarist and have just completed a B*mus at University College Dublin. At the moment I'm studying for my H-Dip in Primary education but always have time for music and have dozens of new songs and ideas, the decent ones will be available to download here, very soon! :)---------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -----As a youngster, I was engrossed in everything and anything got to with CEOL! My Grandfather, was a jazz guitarist and taught me Jazz and traditional tunes at the age of 7. 2 years later I played the Part of Gavroche in Les Miserables at The Point in Dublin, and appeared in a number of numerous adverts and films- but the less said about that, the better! At the age of 11 I became the youngest ever finalist in the 2fm Yoplait Song Contest, Now Jacobs Song Contest. The event was won by the very talented Dave Geraghty from BellX1 ( www.bellx1.com ) and also featured, the Revs front-man, Rory Gallagher.-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------------------After winning an IMRO sponsored "Unplugged" event, judged by Damian Rice, I pretty much, stopped writing or performing to concentrate on studies but alas, I can't stay away!At the moment I'm writing and recording my own songs which you're more than welcome to listen to. I'm a keen fan of "The acoustic thing" and so no drums in sight ;)---------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- I'm a big fan of John Martyn and Joni Mitchell. I love "The Trad" and of course I'm a big fan of Jazz and blues, particularly Muddy Waters; So I guess (and hope) my tunes feature elements of all the above....except Muddy, I'm nowhere near cool enough!---------------------------- Have a listen, have a look~-------------------------------- Slainte,---------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------- Jamie | |
