Well Hello 2008 and myspace friends family & friends And welcome to my Page! ~Kenny Charles~ I have been a busy Musician Recording and finding myself inside of music for the last 18 years...wow I sound Old But I was 15 when i played my first show and now i am proud to be 33 and still loving everyday I write and sing and play music! Since 2003 I have been Doing My solo artist Thing....recording A 3 song Cd At A chicago recording studio. I recorded my first 3 song cd as me kenny charles in 2003 and Have continued since then....In Late 2006~2007 I finished my first Full length 11 song Cd...and it was a great experience All around Starting with the recording to the musicians And again learning and gaining experience which in this lifestyle helps.....see i didnt say buisness! " In 2007 I was Finalist in the John Lennon song writing contest through out the world With My song (Dont Give Up) which is like 2nd place so i am very Excited & Happy about that its a great feeling since I Have respect and love John Lennon And his music:) I Played in many Bands when i was younger, I played my first show at The tender Age of 15 @ the Thirsty Whale.....And it was a eye opening experience! Growing up I loved all kinds of music growing up from the Beatles to the carpenters(Thanks mom) And Queen:) I was a high energy kid growing up and used every ounce of it on my guitar learning since i was 11(That's when i first started playing)And Never stopping since:) I am very proud of my achievements over the years.. The people i have met...bridges i burnt... Bridges I have resewed:) I learned a lot in this buisness they call music..."BUT" I Do not refer to music as a buisness but a experience That i have loved and still love everyday i breathe ,The experience & lifestyle in this great world of music Has Changed My life With many people i have met over the years:) Today I am focusing on my songwriting...with over 100 original written by myself(kenny) I Love to get into the story of life and it's corkyness and it's love aspect of it.....The hate aspect of life can go somewhere else:) But i love writing songs from the heart that will mean something to someone else just like it does for me! For me living and growing up in chicago has been a great learning experience. Cause the music i love and play from the heart Is not the most popular here in chi town...But i believe that if your heart~mind~soul.....and spirit are into it...then go for it..who is to stop or say to you.......this is not for you! Always Follow your heart&Dreams I have had many people in the buisness including musicians,producers,publicists, attorneys & friends tell me they like my music...which as a songwriter,creator,producer,Artist...it makes me feel that tingle in my gut knowing that what i do is the right thing And it makes people laugh,cry sing and feel happy:) Today in 2008 I have a focus and energy that is growing every year i continue to write and Meet New People In music! I Feel that In this life & world we All have Many gifts in all of us And Should never be ashamed of your God given talents and dreams!Never Let any other human being ever tell you you cant do something or No Unless they are carrying a gun...hahaha......Live for something or what you do means nothing! I hope this year will bring more memories more laughs more crying more everything life has to offer:) I want to personally thank all of the friends,family & Fans Cause without your wonderful support i would not be able to have people to share my thoughts,music and life with:) I am glad to have all the people i do in my life today and it continues to grow day by day:) Have a great 2008 and keep a positive and healthy attitude and things will always go your way!
